Rotolo’s Craft & Crust Is Open in Mansfield, TX: Another Reason to Eat Local on Broad Street

If you’ve driven down Broad Street in Mansfield, Texas lately, you’ve probably noticed something: there are a LOT more places to eat. And as someone who lives here, works here, and loves watching Mansfield grow, I am absolutely here for it.

One of the newest restaurants we recently visited for our Community Spotlight series is Rotolo’s Craft & Crust, a pizza restaurant bringing another fun dining option to the growing Broad Street area of Mansfield. And if pizza is involved, you really don’t have to ask me twice.

A New Pizza Restaurant in Mansfield, Texas

Rotolo’s Craft & Crust is located along East Broad Street in Mansfield, in an area that is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots when someone asks, “Where should we eat in Mansfield?”

Rotolo’s originally got its start in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and today the concept has expanded beyond traditional pizza. The Craft & Crust menu includes several styles of pizza along with pastas, sandwiches, salads, appetizers and other options.

But obviously, we came for the pizza. One thing that makes Rotolo’s fun is that you don't have to choose just one type of crust. You'll find traditional craft pizzas, cracker-thin options and Detroit-style pizza with that thick, airy crust and those crispy cheesy edges. If you have strong opinions about pizza crust,  there's plenty to debate here.

Broad Street Is Becoming a Mansfield Dining Destination

Rotolo’s is exciting on its own, but what I really love is where it is located. This section of Broad Street has become a little destination for dining in Mansfield. You can come over here and find shrimp, sandwiches, noodles, Korean food, boba tea, pizza and more all within the same general area. That gives us so many more options for a quick lunch, dinner with the family, meeting friends after work, or simply deciding you don't feel like cooking tonight.

For those of us who have lived in Mansfield for a while, it's pretty incredible to see.

Mansfield continues to grow, and we're seeing that growth reflected not only in new homes and neighborhoods but also in the restaurants, retail, entertainment and businesses opening around town. It’s one of the reasons I love highlighting these places. A community isn't just about the houses. It's about where you grab lunch, where you meet your friends, where your family goes on Friday night and the businesses that eventually become “our spots.”

Looking for Lunch or Happy Hour in Mansfield? Check the Specials

Here's another reason to keep Rotolo’s on your list: check their specials before you go. Their happy hour specials aren't limited to drinks. They also offer pizza specials, which can make this a great option if you're looking for an afternoon bite or early dinner in Mansfield.

And families, pay attention to Mondays. Rotolo’s Mansfield has offered a Monday special where kids can receive a free slice of pizza with the purchase of an adult meal. I LOVE seeing specials like that because I feel like we're finding fewer true family dining deals these days.

Then there are specials for the adults, too. Wednesday is half-off bottles of wine, which might make Wednesday night pizza sound a little more appealing. Because restaurant promotions can change, I always recommend checking Rotolo’s Mansfield on social media before heading over. You may find a daily special on pizza, drinks or both.

Is Rotolo’s Just Pizza?

Nope! While pizza is obviously the star, Rotolo’s Craft & Crust has a much broader menu. You'll find items like pastas, sandwiches, wraps, salads and shareables, plus some menu items that nod back to the company's Louisiana roots.

They also have a large beer selection, giving it a different feel depending on when you visit. So Bring the kids for pizza one night. Meet friends for drinks another night. Stop in for lunch. Catch a game. That's what I like about places like this — they're casual enough that you don't necessarily need an occasion to go.

More Restaurants, Shopping and Things to Do in Mansfield, TX

This is also part of a much bigger story happening around Mansfield. Our city is growing, and with that growth we're seeing more restaurants, shopping, businesses and entertainment options in Mansfield, Texas. Broad Street in particular has become a major corridor for that growth. And while growth certainly comes with growing pains, yes, I'm looking at you, parking lots,  I love seeing more options come closer to home.

Instead of automatically heading toward Arlington or Fort Worth when you want to go out, there are increasingly more places to eat, shop and spend time right here in Mansfield. And there are still plenty of locally owned businesses and longtime Mansfield favorites mixed in with the newer concepts coming to town. That's what makes exploring all of it so much fun.
